Good2Know Network is a free, online resource for early childhood educators and caregivers that provides information and ideas important to early childhood professionals. Good2Know Network posts content designed to support and inspire the work of early childhood providers and educators.
Good2Know network tries to reach childcare providers and early learning teachers who are based in San Mateo County. They do this primarily through their website and newsletter. Since their old site was built on a template platform with limited capabilities, G2K decided it was time to upgrade. The organization needed a custom website with enough flexibility to organize and publish their robust resources. The primary goal of the project was to build a publishing platform that allowed visitors to quickly find information, read content and subscribe to the newsletter. Ultimately, they want to help teachers improve the quality of their practice.
The project involved designing a brand-new site on WordPress, starting from scratch. The website boasts an array of vibrant colors and captivating imagery, creating an inspiring visual experience for visitors. It is also fully responsive and available in multiple languages, catering to a diverse audience. Administrators have complete control over featured stories, imagery, and menus, while visitors can access a wealth of valuable resources. Seamless recommendations keep the clicks flowing, and social sharing capabilities are conveniently integrated into each post. To facilitate effortless language translations, we installed WordPress Multi Language, simplifying the management of multilingual content. Additionally, the newsletter API efficiently organizes sign-ups into targeted groups, allowing G2K to deliver specific and relevant information to their constituents. The site adheres to WCAG accessibility guidelines, ensuring inclusivity, and is optimized for SEO. In addition to designing and developing the site, we provide ongoing security and maintenance support to ensure its privacy and efficiency.
