The California Association of Food Banks (CAFB) promotes collaboration in response to social, economic and legislative challenges impacting hungry people throughout California. CAFB provides support to 41 food banks which increases the visibility of hunger and its solutions. They also share food resources and influence public policy. CAFB develops and advocates positions at the federal, state, and local level on behalf of member agencies and the people they serve.
To design a responsive, professional and welcoming website for a large constituent group throughout California, donors, food distribution agencies, anti-hunger organizations, journalists and government agencies. Finding resources and ways to participate in advocacy campaigns had to be simple. The site needed to attract donors and make people looking for food stamps feel that they have the right tools.
A responsive Drupal website where visitors learn about the organization, financial status and news. It’s easy to search for food resources and become a partner. The home page features a mega menu, slide show and news api. Modules include custom food bank locator, staff page and document resources. The design and CSS is responsive and easy to navigate on tablets and phones. CAFB also received a logo “refresh” for the site and future marketing.
